Jacksonville University’s College of Health Science
Hota Design Studio is excited to be a part of the new 30,000 sf construction of Jacksonville University’s College of Health Science Building. The new building will be located between the Lazzara Health Sciences Center and the Davis College of Business and will be two stories. The estimated cost of the building and furnishings is $8 million with more funding planned for advanced technology. This new building will house the School of Nursing, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Occupational Therapy, Health Executive Leadership and Health Information Management.
Auditmacs Expansion
Hota Design Studio is glad to be a part of Auditmacs expansion at Riverplace Tower. Their new space will again have beautiful views from the 25th floor overlooking downtown Jacksonville. More pictures as the progress continues.
Hota Design Visit’s Kimball Office
Hota Design Studio was selected along with RS&H and Kasper Architects to visit Kimball Office Furniture’s showroom in Indiana. Going on these trips are always enlightening to see what goes into products, in this case, office furniture. It was great to see the think tanks and the process Kimball takes to ensure quality and craftsmanship. Thank you for the Hospitality and the insight. It was an all around fantastic trip. Thank you to Rodger Carroll for arranging the whole thing along with Spencer from TOS, our local Kimball Dealer.
IIDA’s 2013 Cocktail Couture Event

A North Florida Chapter Hosted for the first time a runway show for their yearly Cocktail Couture event. In the past years, designers who participated have had to make hats, purses, belts and shoes. This year, they stepped up the game and had to make a complete outfit out of materials that are commonly found in the design industry. Hota Design did not participate this year, but after the event, we were excited and pumped up to participate next year. The event is done to benefit Dignity U Wear. In the past years that IIDA North Florida has been doing the Cocktail Couture event, they have raised over $60,000 to Dignity U Wear. A great Chapter doing a great job for a Great Cause.
