High Point Market – North Carolina
High Point Furniture Market is an event that happens in the fall and spring where furniture vendors from all over the country and world convene at High Point North Carolina for a six day trade show. Similar to the three day “NEOCON” trade show in Chicago with the release of new products, parties and speakers, High Point Furniture Market is geared to designers and shop owners who sell directly to to clients in the residential and hospitality markets. It was great to experience this event and we highly recommend it to any designer who has never been to it that does work in those fields. This was the first time Hota Design made the road trip up to High Point North Carolina and it probably will not be the last.
ASID Awards
Hota Design Studio attended the ASID Awards Ceremony this past weekend in Orlando and were honored to receive three awards; First Place for Corporate Interiors – The Concourse Building Lobby Renovation, First Place for Healthcare / Institutional – Jacksonville University Marine Research Institute, and Honorable Mention for Hospitality / Restaurant – Zeds Restaurant. Farah & Farah
Hota Design Studio is adding the finishing touches to the recently renovated Farah & Farah’s Main Office Building located in Downtown Jacksonville. Here is a sneak peek of the main lobby space. Custom area rugs by Masland and Planters by Hota Design greet clients as they enter the lobby space. Professional photos will be coming soon of the other key spaces.
University Club Renovation, Part II
The new bar at the University Club is finally going in. They were running all the electrical and plumbing to the bar equipment this morning. Here are some quick shots of the bar in place. The new bar features include; up-lit onyx bar top, up-lit onyx bar shelves, television hidden behind mirror glass, and plenty of seating for the next Jaguars game. Completion is scheduled to be August 29, 2011.
